Chewy Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

Hey everyone! Here’s my rendition of the oatmeal chocolate chip recipe with cinnamon! If you’ve seen my Youtube video, then you know that putting this in the air fryer was a disaster.

But, putting it in the oven was a flavourful, chewy, and simple CLASSIC!!!

INGREDIENTS

This is for about 25 cookies.

  • 1 cup of Butter, with salt

  • 1 cup of Brown or Yellow Sugar (I used yellow, but it doesn’t matter)

  • 1 cup of Granulated Sugar

  • 2 Whole Eggs

  • 2 teaspoons of Vanilla extract

  • 1 ¼ cups of Flour

  • ½ teaspoon of baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon of Table Salt

  • 3 cups of Oats

  • ¼ cup of Milk (I used lactose free)

  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon

  • 1 cup of chocolate chips

Directions

STEP 1

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (176 degrees C).

STEP 2

In a large bowl, mix together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time. Once the mixture is smooth, stir in vanilla.

STEP 3

Combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. You can do this in a separate bowl, but I just stirred it into the creamed mixture until everything was blended. Pour in milk to make the mixture even creamier (however, it’s not necessary).

STEP 4

Mix in the quick oats, and chocolate chips. Drop by heaping spoonfuls (or just portion them using your hands) onto baking sheets/parchment paper.

STEP 5

Bake for 22 minutes in the preheated oven. It might be quicker for others, but it cooked out evenly for me when I let it just sit there for a good 22 - 25 minutes. Allow the cookies to cool on a sheet of parchment paper for 5 minutes before transferring them to a plate to cool completely.

That’s it! I hope that recipe was useful. This is one of my favourite recipes to bake and although it didn’t work out in the air fryer, it came out marvelously from the oven, so I wanted to share this recipe with others, so that you all can enjoy these Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies too.
